I love looking through poem books. I was looking through one of ours and found 2 old favorites of ours, the first one is very fitting with our house since there is always something some one can't find and nobody knows were it is:
Mr. Nobody
I know a funny little man,
as quiet as a mouse,
who does the mischief done in every one's house!
There's no one that has ever seen his face
and yet we all agree
that every plate we break was cracked by Mr. Nobody
'Tis he who always tears our books
who leaves the door ajar
He pulls the buttons from our shirts
and scatters pins afar,
That squeaking door will always squeak,
for, prithee, don't you see,
We have the oiling to be done
By Mr. Nobody
The finger marks upon the door
by none of us are made,
We ever leave blinds unclosed,
to let the curtains fade.
The ink we never spill, the boots
that lying around you see
are not our boots- they belong to
Mr. Nobody

I love this one because I think "Mice are nice":
Mice
I think mice are rather nice,
their tails are long, their faces small,
the haven't any chins at all!
Their ears are pink their teeth are white.
They run about the house at night.
They nibble things they shouldn't touch,
And no one seems to like them much,
But I think Mice are nice.
