Whew, it's over!

The MRI was tonight! I'm glad it's over, but it wasn't bad at all! Here's the story:

When we got there,we signed all their papers, and stuff, and they told us they were running about 20 minutes late! So, Mom and I sat and worked in a puzzle book that she brought, thank goodness she had it! It helped take my mind of it and make me less nervous :-)
Then I got called back, Mom couldn't come with me :-( The lady brought me back and had me change into a gown thing, 'cause you can't wear ANY metal. Then she took me back into a room where there was the big machine thing, and had me lay on the table, put headphones on me (I brought a CD to listen too, they said I could, so I brought Yo-Yo Ma's CD that Sam got for Christmas 8D) It kinda' helped block out some of the noise. (Kinda)
Then, I rolled back into the machine, and they do a few short tests, to make the settings right.
Then they start the real one, and that took about 20 minutes. The lady could talk to me through the headphones, so she could tell me what was going on, that was nice. And that was it! Pretty easy! I was kinda' shaky after I got off the table, the whole thing kinda' vibrates. The tips of the fingers on my left hand got numb!

So now I have to wait a whole week to find out the results, next Thursday, the 5th.

Happy New Years!

  2. I barely remember getting my tumor stitched up when I was seven. It was pretty scared, but the doctor let me pick out a CD to listen to music while he worked on me. Music sure has that nice calming effect! =)

Glad that it went well for you and hope that they will figure out whats wrong.
