Merriweather, Flora, Fauna, Thyme, Rosemary and Pennyroyal (Penny) get a new home!

They got to move into the chicken coop today! They were so amazed at all the room to run around in! It is all done except for some air holes we need to block up, Here it is!

The one side is a door:

The lid of the nesting boxes lifts up, The feeder is in there right now!

Here's inside:
Look at all their feathers, they are growing too fast :-(

I think they enjoy all the room!
And yes, the floor is painted green!
The Chicken tractor is almost done too! We just have to bend the ends of the wire in!

Okay, enough about the chickens!
On Saturday we Started to dig our garden! It is nice and big! I am going to plant snow peas tomorrow!
I started soaking the peas!
I just love spring! Seeing all the buds and spring flowers and the bushes getting green! It shows how great our God is!
Here is my rose, I expect to see buds on it any day now!
Happy spring planting!

  1. The chicks are growing up so fast! I can't wait 'till we get our chicks-only eight more days!

I'm so excited about our garden! Jon's already planted the garlic, but I can't wait 'till we plant the rest of it!

  3. Hi Ali! Great job on the blog - your photos are excellent! Isn't it just amazing how fast the chickies grow - no more little yellow fuzzies.
I'm sure there will be a big celebration when the first egg arrives! You'll have to make a plan - will it get scrambled, fried, hard boiled, or put into cookie dough! Will you save the shell and decorate it? What fun to anticipate!
Thank you so much for being available to pinch hit over at my house too!
